When teachers access Strive, the first view they will have is the Personal View. In this view, there are three tabs to access: Goals, Evaluations, and Professional Development.
The initial view will open the Goals tab for viewing goals, actions, dimensions/standards tagged, and goal completion date. Goals will include the professional goals set by the staff member and their student growth goals.
The timeline gold bar indicates the starting point and end point for goal completion with the white indicators noting the Actions set by date to complete along the path of the goal timeline. Actions are the tasks to complete to help achieve the goal.
Goal Icon Indicators
Next to each goal is an icon colored to match the status of the goal.
A grey icon means the goal is in edit mode and has not been submitted for approval.
A gold icon means the goal has been submitted and is waiting for appraiser approval.
A blue icon means the goal has been approved and is on target for future completion.
A green icon means the goal has been completed.
A black icon means the goal has been archived.
The Show Archived Goals button at the bottom of the screen will access all previously submitted goals. Clicking on an archived goal in the list reveals a menu bar with the button option to Copy to a New Goal.
Goals in both the Professional Goals area and Student Growth Goals timeline can be created using the (+) button on each corresponding timeline to open the form to add a new professional or student growth goal.

By selecting Evaluations, teachers can view all documented walkthroughs, observations, and evaluation data. A district may have defined their evaluation process which allows teachers to completed required tasks by deadline and view upcoming steps and tasks in the process. By selecting a walkthrough or documented observation line item, they can view the appraisal information for the selected event.
In the image above, teachers can create new goals using the (+) buttons or use the Attach a Goal button to move a goal from the Goals tab into their evaluation process.
Selecting an evaluation line item will reveal the details of the walkthrough, observation, or summative evaluation form with the menu option to Print.
Messaging features in the form allow the teacher to send messages about the appraisal document to their appraiser and track those communications directly in the appraisal document.
Professional Development tab:
Selecting the Professional Development tab allows teachers to access their Professional Learning Portfolio in Workshop where they can view their completed credits, available courses for registration, as well as filtering tools to sort by credits and categories available in Workshop.
Teachers can see enrolled courses at first glance to view courses they have registered to attend.
The filtering tools at the bottom allow sorting by credit type and/or category. The search box allows for entering keywords to find a course. Clicking the Register button will add the course to the Enrolled Courses list.
