Thank you to everyone who has shared their excitement and success regarding Strive!
“Strive has the potential to save time and boost administrative performance!”
“The training was fantastic, and we are really excited to use Strive! We love the new look and how easy it is to navigate to access everything!”
Strive can do everything Appraise did and more! Strive contains new features and dynamic functionality. As we continue to enhance Strive, Appraise is being phased out.
Our team will continue to provide webinars, training materials, videos, and support to ensure your district’s success with Strive. Every day our team is working to add more resources to support our districts. We are here to help.
Q: When is Appraise being migrated into Strive?
A: Rest assured Eduphoria will not disable Appraise until all necessary functionality is available in Strive. The scheduled date for removing the separate application link to Appraise is Friday, September 22, 2017.
Q: Can my district disable Appraise now?
A: Yes! Please email email@example.com and we will disable the Appraise link for your district.
Q: Why is Appraise migrating into Strive?
A: We want all teachers and principals to utilize the dynamic features within Strive to ensure cleaner data collection, avoid confusion, and empower future reporting using the Frameworks and Evaluation Process. The user experience is very intuitive, and many districts have migrated easily to the new interface.
Most importantly Strive represents a philosophical shift for Eduphoria. Just as T-TESS evolves PDAS from a compliance focus to growth focus, we see Strive doing that for Appraise. The opportunity to redesign processes in Strive allows us to build workflows and pathways that promote healthy growth centered conversations.
Strive will utilize the new features and data fields that Appraise cannot. For instance, Appraise cannot read the information for Evaluation Process, and so it simply displays a flat list of documents for each staff member.
Q: What about the Appraise historical data?
A: Strive displays current and archived data from Appraise (including data that was migrated into Appraise from PDAS). There is no need to migrate any information from Appraise. Everything in Appraise is already in Strive.
Q: What do we gain by using Strive?
A: Strive is the newest application for districts to use for goal setting, evaluations, and professional development tracking. Strive utilizes new technologies to support modern browsers, mobile devices and tablets to maximize the user experience.
In addition, it has many new awesome features and will continue to grow as an even more powerful tool for leadership and staff.
Q: What about Workshop?
A: Workshop is still accessible via its own application at this time. Districts should continue to use Workshop for all professional development needs. In the coming year, these features will be migrated into Strive. Again, Workshop will not be disabled until all functionality is migrated into Strive.
The ability for staff members to view and register for Workshop events will continue to function and be improved in Strive.
Q: How can I learn more about Strive and implementation for my district?
A: Eduphoria’s online help includes separate sections for teachers, principals, appraisers, and managers. In the online help you will find instructions, video clips, and links to recorded training webinars. If your district needs additional materials for the implementation of Strive, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
