Creating a New Question
Quick Guide
- Log in to Aware and select Questions & Resources under Item Bank.
- Select My Questions and Resources.
- Under the My Questions tab, select the Add Local Item button. Then, select the Question Type.
- Select Add Course to add an associated course to the question.
- Add any standards, complexity level information, and/or language preferences, then enter the question text.
Once the question is created, it will pass through the item bank workflow for approval. Learn more about how to manage these workflows or the approval process for submitted items.

Step 1: Log in to Aware and select Questions & Resources under Item Bank.
Step 2: Select My Questions and Resources.
Step 3: Under the My Questions tab, select the Add Local Item button.
Then, select the Question Type.
Step 4: Select Add Course to add an associated course to the question.
Step 5: Add any standards, complexity level information, and/or language preferences, then enter the question text. This process is similar to the test question creation process. Questions must have at least one standard attached to them before they may be created and published, depending on the user’s role.

Managing Existing Questions
Users may link a question to a resource. They may also edit or delete a question using the buttons attached to each question.
