General Interactive Response
Q: Do all student supports work with interactive response question types?
A: All supports will work with interactive response question types. Content clarifiers work with the question stem and cannot be created where the Add Placeholder Response option has been used to embed an answer choice.
Q: Can interactive response questions be used on math assessments?
A: Yes! Check out each interactive response question type for guidelines on including equations in question and answer choices.
Q: Will third-party item bank vendors' interactive response items be available for use on assessments?
A: Certica/Mastery item bank items for interactive response questions will pull into the item/test editor where they are aligned. These can also be edited as desired.
Q: Why are assessments not printable once they contain interactive response questions?
A: Interactive response is a question type that is meant to be utilized in an online environment. Printing this question type makes it unusable for data analysis. Therefore, if a paper assessment is needed then it is best practice to create a paper version of the assessment by making the interactive response question a a different question type instead. Tests with interactive response questions can be printed only in draft form for previewing and collaborating; this preview shows correct answers and is not meant to function as a student assessment.
Q: When will other interactive response question types be available?
A: Learn more about Eduphoria's interactive response question type roadmap.
Hot Text
Q: Why are questions either correct or incorrect? What if a student gets part of the question correct?
A: Currently questions are either correct or incorrect for simplicity. After all the interactive question types have been added to the system, we will begin work on updated questions to allow for different scoring options to be applied.
Text Entry
Q: Is it possible to prevent teachers from modifying student answers for a text entry question?
A: Teachers will always be able to use the Mark as Correct button for text entry questions, similarly to how teachers can modify a scanned bubble sheet: if a student double bubbles or can't erase an accidental selection, the teacher can still modify that answer before the score is recorded.
It is possible to prevent teachers from being able to replace the student's text by selecting the All Questions option under the test settings.
