When your principal completes an evaluation, they have the option to send that to you electronically. If chosen, that option will send out a notification email to you. Then that document will appear in the My Evaluations section of Evaluation Documents as mentioned above. Click on an item to view the details. The evaluation will appear on the right, and you will be able to print your evaluations by clicking on the Print icon. Appraise will generate an Adobe Acrobat file which you can save to file or open right away.
Viewing Reference Documents
Your district can publish any number of appraisal related documents directly through the Appraiser interface. If district documents are published for you to view, they will be located within Reference Documents. Simply select a document in the list and click on the View Document option.
Completing and Submitting an Evaluation
Your district can create group evaluations that could be used to evaluate a particular person, program, or your direct appraiser (360 evaluation). Once an evaluation is ready to be completed, you may receive an email notification. Evaluations are located within Evaluation Documents under the Documents to Complete section. To complete the evaluation, click on it and fill out the form. As with a Goals document, you have the option to check your spelling on the top toolbar. When finished, click Submit Evaluation. Once submitted, the evaluation will disappear from your list.
Adding a Comment
Appraise has the capacity to allow staff members to enter comments about particular evaluations or goals. These could be questions, comments, or rebuttals.
- Click on the evaluation or goals document
- Click the staff member/appraiser comment icon (see picture above)
- Click Add Comment in the pop-up window
- Enter in desired comment at the bottom using word processing options
- Click the small blue disk on the left side of the toolbar to save
Note: If you add a comment, it will be permanently stored with the evaluation. You cannot delete any comments you add.
Attaching a File
The ability to attach files to your documentation list is an optional feature. The New File Attachment button is located within Evaluation Documents. In the lower left hand corner, click New File Attachment and browse for the document to upload. Once the file is added, it will display within your list of evaluations for your appraiser to view.
