Teachers can easily view state and local assessment data on their students to help facilitate data analysis. This section will cover the basics of viewing data.
Viewing Test Data for One Class
Expand the class period, test type, subject, year, and grade level (by clicking on each folder) to view a test.
Note: When selecting a grade level for a state test, keep in mind that this is the grade the students were in when they took the test. You are only able to view students that you have in your current roster. So, you will select the state test most recently taken, not necessarily the grade level they are currently enrolled.
Once the test is selected, a list of students that took the test will appear. This should be the teacher's current roster students. If a student moved from another district, the state scores will not necessarily appear for that student.
If the Aware manager for the district has turned on the Export Grades feature for teachers, and your district uses a supported third-party student management system, you can click the Export Grades icon to generate a file that can be used to upload any test (State, local, or teacher test) grade in Aware to your gradebook.
View All Students
To view all students for a test, expand All My Students, test type, subject, year, grade level, and test. All the students who took the test will be displayed.
View by Course and Section
To view students by course and section, select the Course and Section level icon. The course and sections will be grouped so that the average scores for each section can be compared. To see the students for a section, drill down by double clicking on the teacher's name and section.
Review Test Questions
To aid with data analysis, teachers may select the question number to preview the question in a new tab.
