Click within the lesson plan content area to enable the curriculum pane. This pane appears on the far right of the page and displays district curriculum.
Use the + (plus) and - (minus) buttons to expand and collapse different groups within the curriculum.
Double-click on a standard to add it to your lesson plan.
|When a learning standard is added to your lesson and the lesson is saved, the standard appears with a green check next to it in the curriculum pane.|
Remove Standard from Lesson
Right-click on the standard to remove it from the lesson or copy the standard text.
Selecting a standard will show details in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Single-click to preview a resource listed in the bottom-right corner. Double-click to view the entire resource. The resource/activity can then be printed or added to the lesson planner by clicking, Print or Use in Plans during the viewing process. The resource will append the current lesson plan entry, but it won't replace any text already in the entry.
This tab displays associated TEKS (Knowledge and Skills statement and Student Expectation), STAAR objective and Knowledge and Skills for selected standard. (Texas Customers Only)
Performance - * There is a known issue with this feature. It is not functioning at the current time.
For Aware Customers Only - This shows a comparison graph of student performance on the most recent STAAR and/or Benchmark test.
This tab displays all dates the standard has been added to lesson plans during the current school year.
If enabled by the district, checklists will be available for every entry in a schedule. Simply check the item(s) in the checklist to note if you plan to use them during that day's lesson. Principals and district personnel can tabulate these results.
Searching Your Individual and Team Planners
Forethought's search tool allows you to search your individual and team planners using key words or phrases.
- Place your mouse in the search area located under the My Lesson Plans list.
- Enter a key word or phrase.
- Click the magnifying glass icon.
Your search results will appear. Double-click a search result item to have that day's plans appear. The same procedure applies to searching in the district scope and sequence and activity bank.
Note: The search results will not include learning standards and file attachments added to your lessons. The search will not display items entered on the same day. You will have to wait overnight for the search to update.
Searching the District's Scope & Sequence
- Enable the curriculum pane at the right.
- Place your mouse in the Click Here to Search area and enter your search criteria for standards.
- A list of standards matching that keyword will appear.
Printing Standard Coverage
Use the printer icon to open a document that shows all of the dates the standard has been added to a lesson plan.
