There are two models for reviewing credit item requests. Workshop can be configured to have either Principals or Professional Development Administrators review credit requests. The demonstration movie above assumes that you have configured Administrators to approve them, not Principals. To change this option, see General Options under Workshop Setup Tools.
Credit Item Requests
This screen will show you the list of all credit requests in the district. Clicking on a request in the list will display it's details.
Beyond the title and requester, you can also see the Request Details.
- Request Type: This can either be an outside workshop, district professional development level, college course, or other.
- Entry and End Date: The date the outside event took place.
- Credit Requested: The types and amounts of credits requested, which is followed by any additional comments.
Below this information you will also see a portfolio summary of the requester.
You can then choose to Approve or Deny Credit. You will have the option to leave a comment which is emailed to the requester explaining the denial or approval. If you approve the request, then credit is granted and the request is closed out. Keep in mind that requests that require credit review cannot be approved until the credit reviewer has approved it as well. This feature is covered under managing credit types.
