Thank you to Georgetown ISD for providing this great Strive FAQ document for their appraisers!
Q: I am looking in Strive and do not see new staff members. How do I add them?
A: Missing staff members may need to login to Eduphoria for the first time to create their account. The first time they login is where they set their profile, including selecting your campus. Also, if they are transferring from another campus, they can modify their profile at any time by clicking the "Profile" button on the main apps screen.
Q: How do I remove a staff member who is no longer at my campus?
A: Your district should have an Eduphoria System Manager (we call them Eduphorians!) who either removes staff automatically with a start of school data sync or by removing them manually. You should contact the person who manages your accounts to find out when this is completed. Some districts wait until the first official contract day to add and remove staff.
Q: I have new staff members who cannot select dimensions when they are entering a new goal. None of their teacher dimensions show for them to select. How do I fix this?
A: This is common for staff who have not been selected by an appraiser and assigned an appraisee type to connect to their dimensions. The appraiser for that staff member will need to go to that staff member and select them to be evaluated as the particular appraise type. This is done by each appraiser at each campus. Here is a helpful article to assist you on selecting your appraisees.
Q: Can an employee have more than one evaluator?
A: In the case of two or more evaluators, the formal appraiser should be the one listed as the Formal Appraiser (by selecting the employee in the Campus View). Other evaluators in the same department or campus can evaluate this staff member, but will not be listed as the formal appraiser. The second appraiser will select the employee's name on the Campus View and select the New Evaluation (+) button to access the evaluation templates for that appraisee type.
Note: Some districts have set limitations for what Assistant Principals/Limited Appraisers can access and may be limited to only view and appraise the staff they have chosen to formally appraise. However, if you are assigned the role Campus Walkthrough Appraiser, you will be able to do walkthroughs on all staff at your campus.
Q: On an evaluation, the electronic signature button is missing. Why?
A: There are two criteria for a signature button: the employee needs to view it AND the appraiser needs to complete it. If you do not see the signature button and the employee has viewed it, you need to verify that the evaluation is complete.
Q: There is a electronic signature button but it is not allowing me to sign the document.
A: If you are unable to sign an evaluation document, you need to login to your account and reset your Profile security question and answer. Access your Profile from the main apps screen and go through the prompts to make sure all the information is correct. For the security question, select any question from the drop-down menu and type in your answer. Make sure to note capitalization and spaces as this has to be typed exactly in the security signature box. You should then be able to electronically sign using that question and response.
Q: I made a mistake on an evaluation document and need to fix it, but I already signed it. Can I unlock it and fix my mistake?
A: Once an evaluation document is signed by even one person, it is locked and cannot be changed. However, the document can be deleted. You will need to recreate the evaluation on a different date and let your Strive Manager (usually in HR) know that you need a document deleted. The only way for them to determine the document to be deleted is to use the date so it is vital you enter a new date for the new evaluation and note the old date for the one to be deleted to let your Strive Manager know so they can delete the correct form.
Q: How can I find out how many of my Department/Campus documents remain unsigned?
A: You can run the Unsigned Document report available in Strive > Appraisal Reports > Unsigned Documents Report. It is important to get documents signed (or indicate refusal to sign) before the archive at the end of the year.
Q: I can't find the Strive app in my phone's app store. How do I get Strive on my mobile device?
A: There is no separate app for Strive in the app stores. To access Strive, simply open a browser window on a mobile device and browse to your district website to access your Eduphoria link. Use the same username and password you use to login to Eduphoria. Click on "Show Desktop Applications" and then select Strive.
Q: Where can I find additional information about Strive?
A: There are many documents and videos to help you navigate Strive. You can select the Help button in Strive to get to the Strive Help articles.
