Building a Quick Test Key

A Quick Test Key creates a bubble sheet that teachers may use when they already have test documents. Quick Test Keys may contain Selected Response, Constructed Response, or Numerical Response question types. Follow the steps below to create a Quick Test Key. 

1. In the Assessment tab in Aware, select 'Create Quick Test Key'. 
   
2. Complete the required information (marked with a asterisk *), then select 'Build Quick Key' when finished. 
   
3. Choose the quantity, type of questions, and the number of answer choices per question for the key. To add different question types (for example, 3 selected response and 2 numerical response), select Add Questions to create a new row of selections. You will select correct responses on the next screen. 
   
4. Click the Pencil icon to edit each item. Here, you may select the correct response, adjust item weight, and add learning standards for each question. Modifications will be saved automatically when you click to the next answer. 
   
5. To complete the creation process and allow your key to be accessible for use, select status active.
   
6. To access your new test key, select the Analyze tab, then select the Test Available banner.
   
7. You may choose to print answer sheets for your students, use response pads, enter answers manually, or use this key for online testing.
