10:31am CST - Internal teams were alerted to performance events affecting AWS services.
11:25am CST - Eduphoria Infrastructure team notified Support of possible Eduphoria intermittent performance issues related to Amazon Web Services.
11:54am CST - Notification received from AWS that performance and stability have been restored.
1:30pm CST - Eduphoria Support team began seeing intermittent performance issues and server errors within all applications. Eduphoria Support team notified Eduphoria Infrastructure teams and set a banner to notify users of possible intermittent performance issues.
1:42pm CST - Eduphoria Infrastructure team determined the intermittent performance issues to be related to the earlier AWS issues. Eduphoria Infrastructure team continued investigating as well as communicating with AWS.
2:22pm CST - Eduphoria Infrastructure team was notified that an AWS architect was looking at the issue.
2:26pm CST - Eduphoria Infrastructure team identified the issue as AWS incorrectly throttling API calls to EC2 and performed a temporary update to reduce the amount of API calls made to AWS.
2:50pm CST - Performance improvements seen throughout the software. Eduphoria Infrastructure and Support teams will continue to monitor performance and work on a permanent solution.
